Made in the USA. Every Evaya® Mattress is stitched together by hand in the U.S. by expert mattress makers with 50+ years industry experience.
Organic, New Zealand Wool. Only Evaya® Organic Mattresses are powered by EverEden™ Wool, exclusively sourced from New Zealand using the most rigorous standards for harvesting organic wool from farm to factory. This wool is naturally moisture-wicking, thermoregulating, and springy, providing comfort, luxury, and support. Many other mattresses with a wool layer use wool that’s hard to trace and not organic, meaning it may have been treated with toxic chemicals and come from sheep poorly treated by farmers.
FSC Certified Talalay Latex. Evaya® uses smart mattress design to create layers of EverEden™ Wool with natural Talalay latex over individual pocket springs.
Recycled Steel Springs. The springs are made in-house using recycled steel, making this one of the most sustainable innerspring mattresses around.
Breathable. The innerspring unit, combined with the more porous Talalay latex, and naturally airy wool and cotton make the Evaya Mattress exceptionally breathable. If you sleep hot, this is a fantastic choice of mattress. And if you sleep cold, the same holds true as you get all the benefits of wool’s natural thermoregulating properties.

What certifications does the Evaya Bliss organic mattress carry?
A big part of the reason we decided to carry Evaya products in our online store is because of the extensive certifications the brand carries. Both the Evaya Bliss and Classic mattresses carry GOTS, FSC, Wool Integrity, Made Safe, Eco Institut, and Okeo Tex Certifications.
In particular, the Made Safe and Eco Institut certifications guarantee that Evaya mattresses are free from even trace amounts of hazardous chemicals.
Made Safe certification requires serious transparency from manufacturers and looks at a product’s potential impact on soil, sediment, air, water, and human, aquatic and terrestrial life. Products that pass do not contain:
- Known or probable carcinogens
- Endocrine disruptors
- Behavioral, developmental, neurological, reproductive, or teratogenic toxins
- Hazardous flame retardants
- High-risk pesticides
- Toxic solvents
- Harmful VOCs.
The Made Safe certification is rigorous and scientific, screening products for more than 6,500 banned or Restricted List substances. The basic idea is to go beyond just being free of the worst offending chemicals and to certify instead only those products that don’t harm people or planet in any way.
This certification has a Red List that is significantly larger than the European Union’s restricted list of substances and hundreds of times larger than the lists of substances restricted by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration and the Environmental Protection Agency combined.
Similarly, If a product is Eco-INSTITUT certified, you can be assured that it does not contain even trace amounts of hazardous chemicals and will not off-gas undesirable chemicals and odors into your home. Some of the chemicals the Eco-INSTITUT certification rules out include volatile organic compounds (VOCs), phthalates, formaldehyde, pesticides, heavy metals, and persistent organic pollutants.
How long will the Evaya Bliss mattress last?
Our goal with LeafScore Essentials is to make long lasting organic products more affordable and accessible for a wider range of consumers. The Evaya Bliss is designed to last for decades, which is why the manufacturer offers a 25-year limited warranty.
What is the difference between the Bliss and Classic mattresses?
The Evaya Bliss is 12" thick due to the extra comfort layer of organic wool and cashmere. The Evaya Classic is 11" thick and is offered at an even more accessible price point.
Will you pick up my old mattress?
Pick up of an old mattress is not standard, but is a VIP service we offer if needed. If you need a mattress picked up, contact our support team after purchase and we will send a quote for your zip code.
How difficult is the mattress to install?
The Evaya Bliss, as a latex hybrid with innerspring support, isn't as heavy as a pure latex mattress. It is easier to move and install than many popular organic mattrress brands. However, most households will need to have two adults ready to add the mattress to a bed or frame.
